Taylor + Justin's Woodsy Wedding - 6.4.16

12/7/2016

Taylor + Justin got married on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at River Landing's River Lodge in Wallace, NC.  Their sweet ceremony took place through a wooded path that opened up into a grassy field by the Cape Fear River. There were wooden signs lining the path to direct guests on where to go. With some help from his friends, Justin was able to create an oak arbor with a floral and vine arrangement strung through it. It was so unique and beautiful.

The bridesmaid's grey dresses and groomsmen's white shirts with suspenders looked so good with the scenery. Their ring bearer walked in with their sweet dog and they got so many "awes" and cheers of laughter as the dog ran towards his handsome owner and groom. This was the perfect processional for Taylor. Once Taylor walked down the aisle, all eyes were on her and everyone was stunned by her beauty. Taylor + Justin had a short and sweet ceremony and then they were ready to celebrate with their friends and family.

Following the ceremony, guests headed to the River Lodge for cocktail hour and the reception. The lodge was set up with rectangle tables and the two tented areas outside of the lodge had round tables for guests to sit. There was a sandy area by the water with cornhole boards set up. All of the bridesmaids bouquets were set around the brick fireplace. It looked amazing! The desserts from One Belle Bakery were on the cutest wooden ladder and the cake was nothing short of breath taking with the beautiful flowers cascading around it. The tables were set with loose greenery and flower blooms intertwined designed by the Pearl and the Petal, along with flatware and a cute napkin fold flowing out of the glassware.

After cocktail hour, the bridal party was introduced. They were such a fun group of people. They danced their way into the lodge. Then, dinner was served by the Mad Boar Restaurant. The buffet was set up around the fire place and boy was it delicious! When it came time for the toasts, everyone smiled, laughed, and even shed a few tears. There was such a great feel and environment for their perfect day. Once open dancing started, everyone seemed to forget about the heat and really enjoyed the night. We are so thankful Taylor + Justin chose us to help plan their wedding! It was such an amazing day seeing two beautiful people come together and start a new journey.

Congrats Taylor + Justin!!! We hope you have a wonderful marriage with all of your doggie children.

Taylor's WeddingWire Review:
"Melissa and her team literally made our wedding what it was. From the very beginning she was extremely hands on, helpful, and attentive, despite only being our "month of" coordinator. She has a way of streamlining the process of wedding planning so that it is stress free and SO much fun! She always came to meetings with a game plan and any suggestions I may have needed, and was so helpful when I got stuck on something I wasn't quite sure how to pull off. Our wedding ended up being so beautiful and organized beyond my expectations. I literally gave them a pile of stuff to decorate with and what they did with everything was so creative and beautiful! The timeline was so streamlined and natural, everyone knew exactly where to be and when in a way that didn't seem at all rushed or scattered. We ended up being able to enjoy every second of it instead of worrying about the logistics. Melissa is so passionate and talented about the work that she does and it really shows through in the final product. She made our wedding day absolutely perfect and if you are on the fence about booking even a day-of coordinator (& trust me you NEED one) she is hands down the best decision you will make!"

Our Favorite Wedding Moment:
I (Melissa) attended high school with the bride and groom so it was a blast seeing so many old friends. The bridal party even tried including me on the introductions. The groom asked me to walk in with one of his groomsmen since they had an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen. I couldn't say no to the groom so I did! It was all in good fun!
