We wanted to have a special page on Knot Too Shabby Events' website for LGBTQIA weddings, not to make the LGBTQ+ community stand out, but to let all couples know that we are more than open to planning their wedding. The Knot Too Shabby team stands firmly that everyone deserves to love and be loved. No sex or race should be discriminated against and Knot Too Shabby and the vendors we chose to work with believe in marriage equality - a wedding is a wedding! Being from North Carolina (and living in the bible belt), we have witnessed how some peoples' ignorance can steer couples away from planning a same-sex wedding in our area. We were ecstatic when same-sex marriage was finally passed in NC in October 2014. If you're planning a wedding in Wilmington, the surrounding area, or beyond, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
