Sonja + Chad's wedding - 5.10.14

Hello 2015! What a wonderful year it's going to be. It's been a while since I've been on the blog but I'm back with a beautiful #realwedding from May 2014! 

Sonja + Chad tied the knot on a gorgeous May Saturday at The RiverRoom in historic downtown Wilmington! The ceremony took place on The RiverRoom's riverfront deck with about 70 friends and family members there. Fred Roberts, an old family friend and pastor in Southport, officiated the ceremony for the couple. His soft spoken words were nothing short of touching and telling of the couples' true love for each other. The ceremony was short and sweet with cocktail hour to follow with appetizers from Riverwalk Deli & Grill. This was my first time working with them and I must say, the beef riblets we had for dinner were out of this world! 

Sonja's sister in law, Melissa of M13 Photography,  has a photography company in central North Carolina and she was hired to capture all of the beautiful moments throughout the big day. Once the now Mr. and Mrs. Cleary took photos with their bridal party and family, we headed inside to enjoy the reception. Knot Too Shabby Events had the room looking perfectly elegant yet rustic for all of the guests. We used seamist blue linens with ivory lace overlays from ETC Party Rentals. The lush floral arrangements in blue mason jars from Lily Belles was the finishing touch to complete this pretty tablescape. Sonja + Chad ate dinner at a reserved table with their bridal party while the rest of the guests were welcome to sit wherever they liked. I am all for an open seating chart and only reserving what's necessary. 

After dinner, we kicked off dancing with DJ Professionals! DJ David did a great job as always, knowing exactly what song to play to keep everyone on the dance floor and knowing when to give them a break and slow it down! The night was complete with a sparkler send off as Sonja + Chad went into the night as newlyweds! Knot Too Shabby Events really enjoyed providing coordination services for Sonja + Chad and getting to know them. We wish you all the best!! Congratulations!

Sonja had the brightest glow on her wedding day and seeing how geniually happy she was and how amazing she felt was the best feeling.
