SANDRA + TREY - SUMMERTIME LOVE TO LAST - 6.21.14

Sandra + Trey just celebrated the 1 year anniversary of their wedding day yesterday. That being said, I was reminded that I need to get my butt in gear to finish the blogs from Knot Too Shabby Events' 2014 weddings. Sandra + Trey wed at The RiverRoom in downtown Wilmington last June! They had a beautiful wedding along the Cape Fear River with an outdoor ceremony on the deck and the reception followed inside. Sandra walked down the aisle with not one but two handsome sons! They married in the center of the deck with all of the guests around them for a more intimate feel. I loved how we utilized the deck into the evening with additional tables, a bar and deck shenanigans during the reception. 

Inside, the room was set with white linens, burlap runners and hydrangea centerpieces in mason jars. This southern, rustic-chic look was perfect against the exposed brick of The RiverRoom. We even had a kids table in the back with fun photo props. The kids didn't stay in their seats long thanks to the good tunes being played by DJ Professionals & Video. After a delicious dinner from Middle of the Island and cake from Creative Cake Design by Tammy Hodge, it was time to party! Although this wasn't a huge wedding, everyone had a wonderful time.  We ended the night with a special send off and as they say, the rest was history!

On behalf of all of us with Knot Too Shabby Events, we wish Sandra + Trey a happy 1 year wedding anniversary! Thank you so much for having us be a crucial part of your big day!

Favorite Wedding Moment:
Trey did a very special mother/son dance with a medley mix to 9 different songs. His mother was a flapper dancer in the original "Great Gatsby" movie and it was great seeing her show off some of her old moves on the dance floor!
