Holly + Steffan Taube November Wedding - 11.7.15

Knot Too Shabby Events coordinated our last wedding of 2015 on November 7th at The RiverRoom. Holly + Steffan tied the knot in downtown Wilmington with a simple, yet sweet ceremony on the deck of The RiverRoom shared by 80 of their closest friends and family members. As guests anxiously awaited the arrival of the happy couple, the Knot Too Shabby Events crew was there to welcome everyone. There was a chalkboard sign with flowers draping over it reading, "come as you are, stay as long as you can, we're all family, so no seating plan." The beautiful hand-made wooden arbor was built by groom's father. It was a true work of art!

After the ceremony, guests were invited inside by DJ David with My Wedding DJ. Their guests were blown away by the beautiful decor surrounding The RiverRoom. While the guests browsed the room, they were offered delicious hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour provided by Coastal Catering.  The tables inside were decorated with white linen, a burlap runner, dark purple napkins, a tree stump base, candle votives, burlap flowers and a floral centerpiece inside of a mason jar. To make their place settings extra special, there were custom made seed packets at each seat. This made for the most beautiful rustic-chic wedding. 

Once family photos were complete with Baca Photography, Holly + Steffan joined their friends and family members. The couple had a special introduction prepared. They are huge Greenbay Packer fans so they wore cheeseheads and surprised everyone during their grand entrance! This was such a great way to kick off the reception.

Holly + Steffan then shared their first dance, followed by the father daughter and mother son dances. Holly's father welcomed the guests and then dinner was provided by Coastal Catering. Following dinner was the traditional cake cutting. Holly + Steffan then dedicated a dance to her parent's 31st wedding anniversary! It brought tears to everyone in the room. The dance floor was then opened up for the rest of the evening. At the end of the night, the couple had a beautiful sparkler sendoff out front of The RiverRoom and ended their magical night.

Favorite Wedding Moment:
When Holly + Steffan were introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Taube for the first time wearing cheeseheads. No one knew they were going to come in like that so it was a fun surprise for all of the guests. Holly + Steffan attended the Packers game the day after their wedding and I believe they made it on the big screen!
