Fanatale Wedding - Meagan + Artan's Airlie Gardens Wedding - 5.21.16

Meagan + Artan Fana said "I do" on Saturday, May 21, 2016 with the most beautiful view! The ceremony took place at the pergola in Airlie Gardens with a tented reception in the lawn by the big oak tree. Meagan + Artan rented a stunning "Nantucket Tent" from Party Suppliers with Edison lights and a crystal chandelier from High Performance Lighting. It couldn't have been more dreamy. The weather was calling for 90% chance of rain all week and then once Saturday came, there wasn't a sign of rain anywhere to be found! The day turned out to be absolutely perfect. Meagan + Artan stood at the altar as all of their family and friends gathered to see the couple of 10 years finally wed. Then, all of the guests walked to the lawn for cocktail hour. One of our favorite things during cocktail hour was the olive oil and balsamic station with assorted breads that sat on top of two wine barrels. Culinary Creations also had servers passing hors d'oeuvres while guests mingled around the cocktail tables and lounge furniture. 

The reception was decorated with an array of round and rectangular tables with majestic white linens. Each place setting had a white plate with a silver rim, an aqua napkin, menu card and a jar of honey (also used as escort cards). The tables were dressed with pieces of aqua and lavender sea glass, candle votives, and beautiful floral arrangements of hydrangeas and calla lilies. 

The bridal party cruised in on golf carts for introductions. Then, Meagan + Artan shared their first dance to "Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay. After, a three course meal was served family style to each table. The Maid of Honor and Best Man then gave toasts to the beautiful newlyweds. Meagan + Artan cut their four-tier naked cake from One Belle Bakery. Following the cake cutting, Meagan and her father, Charles, shared the father daughter dance and then Artan and his mother, Feggi, shared a special dance together. Artan and his family are from Kosovo so it wouldn't be a wedding without starting off with a dance floor full of people in a traditional Albanian dance!

The rest of the night was spent with lots of laughs, drinks and dancing. They even pulled Melissa out onto the dance floor! To conclude the night, Meagan + Artan did a glowstick send off under the big oak tree with Spanish moss overflowing everywhere making for the perfect backdrop! They have been the light of each other's lives for 10 years and now they will glow together forever. Congrats Meagan + Artan! We had such a wonderful time working with you two amazing people!

"Melissa Burton and Knot Too Shabby Events (KTSE) are TOP notch to say the LEAST!! If it were not for Melissa and KTSE, my wedding would NOT have been possible!!!! My husband and I got married at Airlie Gardens and the venue required we hire a day of wedding coordinator for our wedding. I did some research online for wedding/event coordinators and came upon KTSE. During the time leading up to the wedding, Melissa was ALWAYS responsive and helpful. If I needed anything she was ALWAYS there and always SUPER quick to respond! Our rehearsal and wedding day went of without a hitch! We had a TON of moving parts for our wedding and Melissa and her team made the process SEAMLESS!! Her organization and communication was ALWAYS way above par!! If you are a bride, groom, or couple who thinks they can do it all...guess what-- you can't! Stop what you are doing right now and contact KTSE-- you will be SO glad you did!!"

Favorite Wedding Moment: 
Watching Meagan + Artan dance with their family to a special Albanian song at the start of open dancing. It was so sweet seeing everyone cheering and dancing along in a circle. We love working with different types of people and different cultures. It's nice to see something out of the ordinary and something held so dear to their hearts.
