It's no secret that Airlie Gardens is one of our favorite wedding venues in the Wilmington area. From the Spanish moss hanging from all of the live oaks to the dreamy bridal walk at the pergola, there's really nothing you can't love about this place. We've had the pleasure of doing dozens of weddings here over the year. Take a look at some of our favorite moments from those below. Amy + Dan Amy and Dan's May wedding at Airlie Gardens was overflowing with love, laughter, and incredible food – everything a celebration should be. Their ceremony at the iconic pergola was nothing short of magical, surrounded by the lush, natural beauty that makes Airlie so special. Yes, the aisle may be long, but it only adds to the occasion as guests take in the serene landscape. The couple's beloved golden doodle, Sampson, proudly stole the show for a few moments, but nothing could top the heartfelt vows Amy and Dan wrote for each other – there truly wasn't a dry eye in sight. After a successful ceremony, guests enjoyed a laid-back and lively cocktail hour just outside the tented reception on the Big Oak Lawn. With a mix of guest tables, bistro tables, and lawn games, it was the perfect blend of comfort and fun. A Thyme Savor wowed everyone with passed appetizers – including chicken & waffles and fried mac & cheese bites (our personal favorite!). The reception kicked off with an enthusiastic introduction of the newlyweds, followed by touching toasts, a much-anticipated cake cutting, and the opening of the dessert bar that guests couldn't get enough of. Dinner featured a standout mahi mahi entree, and as the sun set, the dance floor lit up. This crew knew exactly what to do and put on their dancing shoes. Sending married couple off with all the love and support from their family, friends, and loved ones, we couldn't have asked for a better day for these two. Amy and Dan were an absolute joy to work with – sweet, grounded, and so trusting throughout the planning process. Their wedding was not only stunning, but also filled with so much heart. We were truly honored to be part of their unforgettable day. Their vision of coastal chic meets modern, timeless elegance came to life in the most stunning way. Soft blues, crips whites, lush greenery, with pops of coral and blush set the scene for a celebration that felt both relaxed and refined. Wilder Bloom Co. out of Charleston brought the floral magic with vibrant, colorful arrangements that added energy and warmth to every corner. The iconic Pergola was transformed into a breathtaking ceremony space, with royal blue ginger jars stealing the show. Their bold hue popped against Airlie's natural greenery, created a look that was equal parts lively and luxurious. And that floral arch? If only it could stay there forever – but it will definitely live in our dreams forever. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the Big Oak Lawn under chic umbrellas from White Birch Rentals, sipping on the couple's signature drinks and soaking in the sunshine and salty breeze. The relaxed, coastal vibe was perfectly paired with thoughtful details that kept guests comfortable and smiling. And then, the reception – What A Showstopper! Hosted under Party Supplier & Rentals' stunning Aurora sailcloth tent, the space was overflowing with coastal elegance. From the custom crest inserts at the center bar by Martha My Dear Rentals to the graceful Catalina lounge setup from White Birch Rentals, every detail was intentional and unforgettable. From looking at these photos, you'd never know that the vendors were setting up in a torrential downpour of rain showers just hours before this. It truly takes a small army of dedicated and talented vendors to pull off any wedding at Airlie Gardens, especially when unexpected weather happens! All night, you could feel the love radiating between Claire and Wade, and the joy from their family and friends made the entire day even more special. It was a great nice with all of their favorite people - what more could we ask for! Nights like this are the reason we love doing what we do! Their wedding was the perfect blend of whimsical romance and natural elegance – a dreamy garden party come to life. The floral designs by Designs by Dillon truly spoke for themselves. A stunning mix of wildflowers in soft mauves, blush pinks, creams, and sage tones, all anchored by heavy greenery and delicate silver accents. The standout? Cascading amaranthus that brought a lush, organic feel to the entire celebration. It was as if nature itself joined the guest list. Every photo feels like a fairytale, thanks to Halle Morgan Photography, who captured all the magic. One of our favorite moments? The dip kiss at the end of the ceremony with floating petals in the air – a picture-perfect moment if there ever was one! Cocktail hour on the lawn al-fresco style with no rain in sight is a wedding planner's dream. Unique rentals from Great Day Soiree, Party Suppliers & Rentals, Martha My Dear Rentals, and DP etc. came together to create an inviting and effortlessly chic atmosphere. Every detail felt intentional and elevated yet relaxed. Guests were itching to get in the reception tent to get a close eye on all the pretty details. This was garden party in its truest form. From the enchanting entrance, to the hanging floral installation overhead, to the wildflower-filled tablescapes, every inch of the space felt magical. We'd need a whole other blog post just to share it all! To top off the night, Abbie and Mitchell's send-off was nothing short of joyful. Bubble guns, bubble machines–you name it, we had it. There's no such thing as too many bubbles, and we definitely gave it our all to celebrate these two in style. Cheers to an amazing night at one of the prettiest places to tie the knot in North Carolina!
