Peyton + Ryan were one of the first couples to get married at Wrightsville Manor. Peyton got ready on site in the bridal suite at Wrightsville Manor. There were mahogany chiavari chairs from Wrightsville Manor set up outside facing the trees for the ceremony. We used a 2-post white arbor from L&L Tent & Party Rentals set up adjacent to the big oak tree. Along the aisle hung rose pomanders on shepherds hooks. Their photo guestbook sat atop a rustic table with a guestbook sign, pictures, candles, and flowers in a mason jar. Following the ceremony, guests headed inside to the reception. The color palette consisted of shades of blush and lots of greenery. This was so beautiful with the brick wall in the background. There were long tables set up in a U-formation. The tables were set with white linens, tan napkins, mix matched china rented from China Dolls, mason jars, and large wooden boxes with lush floral arrangements from Beautiful Flowers by June. This rustic chic look was perfect for Wrightsville Manor. Each place setting was different and was beautifully placed to coordinate the large and small china plates together. Their sweetheart table had a long floral arrangement, a Mr. & Mrs. sign, and candles. Wilmington Uplighting strung Edison lights back and forth through the middle of the room. It truly looked like a fairy tale on the inside. Peyton + Ryan shared their first dance, and then had a father/daughter, and a mother/son dance. After the dances, A Thyme Savor opened the buffet for a delicious dinner. Peyton's father gave a wonderful toast that lead into the cake cutting. Their cake was a three-tiered white cake that sat on top of a wine barrel. Peyton + Ryan then invited all onto the dance floor for a night of dancing and fun. Their wedding was picture perfect. It was such a beautiful day for the couple and we wish them a lifetime of happiness. Congrats on your wedding and your beautiful baby Slate on the way! Peyton + Ryan's wedding was so incredible, it was recently featured on Emmaline Brides! Peyton's WeddingWire Review: "Let me tell you a little about my experience with Knot Too Shabby... Hands down, Melissa and her whole team were the best decision I made for the whole wedding. They were AMAZING! I can't praise them enough. They were punctual, listened to all of my concerns and desires, took a LOT of stress off of my shoulders for the whole "month of" that they were mine, and made my wedding seamless! My wedding night went smoothly and flawlessly. Not one hiccup, not one problem, not one disaster. Nothing! And that is wonderful to be able to say because there are tons of wedding horror stories out there. I truly believe that is because Melissa and her team were there taking care of every small detail. Melissa was on top of everything! Melissa and her team took all of my planning, tears, and hard work and brought my whole vision to life the night of our wedding. She was so easy to work with, always returned my calls, and went above and beyond. I didn't even direct them to use my ceremony decor during the reception, but they came up with creative uses that looked beautiful! It's small details like that example that made me truly love and appreciate being able to work with Knot Too Shabby. If you want a professional, talented, and caring team to help plan or coordinate your event, I highly recommend Knot Too Shabby!!!!!!!!!!" Click on images below to enlarge. Close your eyes and imagine your fairytale wedding. Now open your eyes. What did you see? Kasey + JJ had their very own fairytale wedding become a reality on Friday, April 29th, 2016. This fairytale wedding took place in no other than the beautiful Southport, NC. The lovely couple had their ceremony at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Welcoming all their closest friends and relatives, a lovely purple Victorian sign that read "Pick a Seat and Not a Side". The two love birds tied the knot in front of 130 guests and with 10 of their closest friends and family standing on each side of them at the alter. Following the ceremony, all Marine groomsmen and friends of JJ honored the newlyweds with a saber arch as they exited the church and approached all their loved ones by the cobblestones outside. Following the arch ceremony, guests were invited by a close friend of the couple and DJ, Eric Apelt. As the couple took their after wedding photos with Will Page Photography, guests made their way across the street for the cocktail hour and reception at the Southport Community Building. Giving their guests something to look at on their walk over were signs of Kasey + JJ that showed the milestones of their relationship in ascending order leading to their engagement. As they were being greeted by Knot Too Shabby Events, guests found their names and table numbers on white chocolate cake pops. While guests awaited the newlyweds, they mingled outside enjoying passed appetizers offered by Middle of the Island, along with their specialty drinks, Breaking News and Recon Jack. The décor and floral arrangements that filled the room were stunningly designed by Pink Blooms. Tables were draped with vibrant purple linens and accompanied by lavender floral runners. Chairs were accented with gray seat covers that matched the silver chargers underneath the place settings. After the lovely couple finished their photos, Kasey + JJ accompanied their guests at the Community Building for a delicious dinner. Before digging in, the father of the bride blessed the food, the couple and all the guests that honored the newlyweds. Following dinner was a lovely champagne toast and cake cutting. The cake, made by Imaginary Cakes, was a beautiful white three tier with purple floral accents. Then, enjoying delicious cake, guests followed the couple outside for first dances. The remainder of the night consisted of a bouquet toss and dancing with their closest friends. Loved ones wished the special couple all the happiness in the world with a sparkler send off at the end of the night. The fairytale wedding had a beautiful ending and we hope they live happily ever after! Lisa's Google Review: "Melissa was hand picked from several wedding planners for the month of wedding coordination. There were so many logistics I could not wait for the "month of" to hand some of the responsibility over to Melissa. My daughter lives out of state, there were 22 people in the bridal party and over 100 guests coming into town for the wedding. Melissa had suggestions to keep things running smoothly from my first meeting with her until the reception was over. The rehearsal included about 40 people, Melissa had the attention and respect of every single person, it went very smoothly. She meticulously created a timeline that was realistic and kept everything (and everyone!) on schedule. Melissa is a great communicator and a gifted time manager, she has found her calling! So glad we had hired her for the month of the wedding!" Click on images below to enlarge.
