Tiffany + Mike had a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Rock Creek. Tiffany spent the morning getting pampered by kreashenz salon in the bridal suite at The Barn. Mike was just down the hall getting ready in the on-site groom's suite. We love how The Barn at Rock Creek has two separate suites for the bride and groom without them ever running into each other! The Knot Too Shabby Events staff spent the morning setting up the ceremony and reception sites. The ceremony was facing the woods. The arbor had a chandelier and fabric draped through it. It looked absolutely stunning! There were two huge wooden doors for the bridal party to walk through. Once everyone was lined up and in place, Tiffany came down the stairs from the bridal suite. We were in awe at how beautiful she looked. Her father picked her up right in front of the barn in his big silver truck and drove her to the ceremony site! It was such a great idea and it was perfect for pictures! They had a sweet ceremony and then asked guests to head to The Barn for cocktail hour! The cocktail area was decorated with cocktail tables with white linens and silver bows, corn hole, and of course, the beautiful patio with Edison lights hanging over it. There were tasty appetizers provided by Middle of The Island and guests scattered around playing corn hole, chatting, and sipping some delicious beverages! Succeeding cocktail hour, Tiffany + Mike made their grand entrance as Tiffany + Mike Parker!! Then, Mike welcomed all of the guests and thanked everyone for being there. The reception was inside of The Barn. The tables were set with silver linens, white napkins, and mixed match china rented from The Barn! The centerpieces were lovely white lace doilies with mercury vases holding white floral arrangements from Eco Chic Blossoms, along with an array of candle votives. The overall look was romantic vintage! Middle of The Island provided a yummy buffet open for all to eat! Following dinner, the groom's cousin, Chad, shared a hilarious yet well-thought out toast. He had a picture frame of the couple and taped his face to it joking that "If he doesn't treat you right, you know who to call." He had the whole room in tears laughing so hard! To unwind after the toasts, the couple cut the cake! The bride's grandpa made two pound cakes in addition to many other desserts from Creative Cake Design by Tammy Hodge. After their first dance, there was the father-daughter and mother-son dance. The dance floor opened up for a night full of dancing and everyone had a great time. One of the best things about weddings for us is seeing everyone so happy and care-free dancing the night away! Thank you Tiffany + Mike for letting us be a part of your special day! Congrats to Mr. + Mrs. Parker. :) Tiffany's WeddingWire Review: "Let me just say that Melissa was a life saver! She made me feel at ease from the moment I met with her! She has a calming nature about her that just made me feel comfortable and I had ZERO worries the day of my wedding! She is a true professional at what she does and I would recommend her to EVERYONE!" Shannon and Matt said "I do" on April 2, 2016 in Surf City, NC. They had their ceremony on the beach, and the reception at their beach house. Shannon spent the day getting ready with her daughters, mother and friends. The Knot Too Shabby Events staff took care of everything that day in order to let everyone relax with a glass of wine while they got their hair and makeup done by Tyler Kent. The ceremony was set with 6 white benches from Shoreline Party Rentals. White Oak Arbors provided a 4-post white arbor with a white arch table in the middle holding a flower runner from Surf City Florist. On both sides of the arbor, hung 2 large floral arrangements. The tables at the reception were set in a U-shape formation with white linens and seamist runners. There were floral centerpieces, lanterns, blue mason jars with candles, and then of course more candles placed around the tables. At each place setting, there were mixed match china with various colorful napkins from The Barn at Rock Creek. The cake table had a seamist linen with a wooden cake stand and mixed match china plates. Creative Cake Design By Tammy Hodge made a white ruffled cake and we decorated it by cascading flowers down the side with a few buds on top. Their guestbook table had a white linen with a burlap "Just Married" sign draped in front of the table. The rentals and the white tent with Edison lights (rented from Shorline Party Rentals) made the whole thing come together perfectly. After her morning of primiping, Shannon got dressed for her and Matt's first look and headed to the beach. indigosilver did an amazing job capturing their love and beauty in all of their photos. Following the first look, we lined the bridal party up on the other side of the beach access and the ceremony began. Matt's father, Dan, was the officiant. Shannon's son walked her down the aisle and I think he was more nervous than she was! Following the ceremony, guests walked to Shannon + Matt's beachfront house for the reception. A Thyme Savor Catering served alcohol and passed hors d'oeuvres as guests started to arrive. Once Shannon + Matt arrived everyone congratulated them and began to sit for salad and stuffed mushroom appetizers. Then, dinner was served. Matt's best man and Shannon's daughter, Emily, gave heartwarming toasts. They had a traditional cake cutting and a bouquet toss. A few of Shannon's guests brought presents for them to open at the wedding! One guest brought a funny gift for them to open and followed it up with a sincere gift. Shannon + Matt are such an amazing couple and we wish them the happiest marriage. Click images below to enlarge. Our Favorite Wedding Moment: Watching Shannon walk down the stairs and seeing the reception for the first time. Shannon let us use our creativity with the reception design and she was overjoyed with the way everything turned out. She even told us it was everything she wanted and more! Vendors
